Dreamy California, Washington, and Oregon beach brides — this board is for you.
When I was a little girl, I wanted more than anything to be a mermaid. (Growing up in the Midwest, this was a bit of a problem.) I vividly remember a family vacation to Florida when I was 9 or 10, and sitting in the surf absolutely transfixed for what seemed like hours, wishing I had a mermaid’s tail. Now that I’m all grown up, not much has changed!
I put together this inspiration board while designing my kelp wedding invitation suite. I love that this ocean-side collection is flowing & delicate and explores the colors of a Pacific tidepool. It is a little unexpected to build a kelp-themed wedding (seaweed isn’t always the first thing we associate with romance
) but the pale blues, pinks, yellows, and seafoam green blend well here in a sophisticated, unusual way.
And lets face it, who doesn’t want to be a mermaid for a day?!
Are you a water-baby? What unusual beach finds are you planning to incorporate into your wedding? Dish in the comments!
